So, just saw Avengers last night, might have gone sooner had I seen your review!

Anyways, the deal about the cards ( I think) is that Fury manufactured the blood on the cards to piss off the members of the group. As they were actually in the locker, he admitted to manipulating the others because ‘they needed a push’ towards joining the team.

Glad to hear you liked the movie. I saw a commercial for it, and all I could think about was how I could not even imaigne going to a movie with 9/11 as the backdrop. It’s just still so sad and unnerving.

I have read the preceding three books and found them all very very good and will read them again. The book Rebellion, from what I have read on this page seems different .. I’m not too sure if I’ll like this one or not, as I’ve got my husband hook on these books it looks as though we’ll be getting (Rebellion) at some point, then I can make up my mind as to whether I’ll like the book or not.

Hey it works! Was beginning to think there was a conspiracy keeping us apart

Also wanted to say the storyline was great too. Love Josh Whedon and Firefly but also I’m sure Ashley Miller’s name came up in the credits as one of the writers. He of the writing partnership of Ash and Zack Stentz when Andromeda was a fabulous series (1 and 2 cos tptb said it was too dark for TV *rolls eyes*).

Also I didn’t get the feeling of any in jokes about the cards. Its just that Agent whatsisface was a secret nerd about Captain America (collected the entire series of cards through the years and had the worlds biggest collection). I think a big clue was when he admitted he liked to watch him sleeping *creeped out*. So Stark teased him a lot about it. Old eye patch used the cards to tug at our superheroes heartstrings. Wasn’t the film’s best moment.

I liked it Kate. Robert was amazing as Iron Man. He gets the best lines and he plays them so well. Loki actor, I liked his meaness. He did a good job, I totally believed him as villain.
Captain America was good too, I liked his solo movie as well. And Mark was good but I always see him as in Zodiac don’t ask me why. ;o)
I loved Iron Man fight with Thor.
I would not mind watching it again, which I will do, cause hubby will buy it for sure.

What a Great review! You’ve impressed me with your indepth knowledge of the tesseract blue cube technology. I totally agree with you I too was not looking forward to it after the disaster that was Captain America. But RDJ was a total scene stealer. Like you I had many surprise laugh out loud moments. Mark Rufalo was totally credible and I loved the contrast of total cool and calm with the rage of The Hulk (btw that’s what my son calls me when my cage gets rattled whilst driving). Even Captain America redeemed himself and came into his own as kick as take charge captan. I also liked The Hawk as both goody and baddy. Thor as always floats my boat. He looks awesome on the big screen. Excellent casting of Chris Helmsworth and yes he can come back anytime even with Ms Portman. One thing I will disagree with you WDW. Encore, encore!

I did! Personally, I don’t think there’s too much point see the Avengers if you’ve missed all the others – it really helps to know about the characters and the backstory.

So you liked it! We have premiere now in Poland. I may go one of this day with my family. I’m afraid I won’t be able to see any of those heroes’ movies before. Do you think I still may enjoy/understand Avengers without seeing the others?
