Hi Paul! Good to see you here. How I agree with wht you say about Catherine Keener. If Percy does return, and I think he will, I hope it's without the mother.

The special effects were very good and in their place. It was good to see Pierce Brosnan in that role. I would have liked more Zeus and Poseidon, and to have seen Athena interact with her daughter. I noticed the eyes - there were some stunning eyes in this film.

Uma Thurman was superb as Medusa! I'm interested to see how Medusa in the new Clash of the Titans compares.

That's interesting about the hndred million goal. I think they'll be a sequel and I think it will be better that this, the first. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.

The original Clash of the Titans was fantastic!

I totally agree about the misuse of Catherine Keener's talents. I would hope that if there are sequels, she could be allowed to craft a more positive and powerful character, which she is undoubtedly able to do, but I have no idea if the director would be receptive to such an uidea. :-(

I became very impressed by Logan Lerman's work in "My One and Only," and also "3:10 to Yuma." He won the Screen Actor's Guild's "Young Actor" award three times in four years. This is clearly someone with a lot of talent and drive and enthusiasm. In an interview, he said that if the Spiderman reboot was offered to him, he would be very interested in it. I read some of the user comments for that interview, and I noted that some felt [Anton Yelchin] would be better as Spiderman. I adore Yelchin, and would prefer him, but the new "Star Trek" franchise is going to suck up a lot of his time and energy for the foreseeable future. Lerman might actually have a shot.

I liked what Pierce Brosnan brought to the role of Mr. Brunner/Chiron the Centaur. The special effects were fantastic in making a centaur seem real. Great special effects all around.

I liked the way Athena's daughter had blue eyes that almost glowed.

And what can I say about Uma Thurman as Medusa? Absolutely fantastic. The filmmakers are said to feel that no sequels qill be considered unless this movie grosses at least a hundred million. They're almost halfway there already, though: forty million in just the first weekend. Frankly, I enjoy movies based on Greek mythology. "Clash of the Titans" was great, for instance.
